hi,ive done needle sweep via vcds on my b8,any others available? can i change the screen display so it displays the 's-line' logo (no,i dont have sat-nav)

Is there a way i can enable a bleep when i lock the car?
 
nice one for that,still cant find what im looking for,maybe someones done what i want,hopefully

you cant change the screen to s-line
you can have a beep with alarm
 
horn with alarm arm disarm
once coded you can alter it in the MMI menu

The following coding is used:

  • Acknowledgment of the close
  1. Select STG 46 (comfort)
  2. Long STG coding -> function 07
  3. Byte 1
  4. Enable bit 2
  • Acknowledgment for the open
  1. Select STG 46 (comfort)
  2. STG adjustment -> function 10
  3. Channel number 63
  4. Default: 40
  5. Change to 44

not sure wether it was explained in that thread what you required,it was more a general list of what can be done with vcds

audi upgrades
Done a few mods myself, some of which are listed on the links provided above:

- Enabling Needle Sweep
- Passenger Mirror Tilt When Engaging Reverse
- Adjusting Length Of Time Before Automatic Main Dip Comes On
- Beep Alarm When Locking The Car
- Lap Timer
- Emergency Brake Flashing via Indicators
- Display Graphic Interface When Engaging Reverse For Parking Sensor
- Battery Meter Level Displayed In MMI Menu
 
Ive just enabled:
needle sweep
mirror tilt when reverse selected
didnt fancy lap timer
hazards flash under harsh braking
i also turned up the brightness value of my DRL's and they are fooking bright now!!!

Don't quote me on this, but I think the brightness of the LED's is only when you have your dip on, when just DRL the brightness stays the same as set by Audi.

The lap timer also shows the temp of the oil etc, which is just nice to see. If its possible why not switch it on! :)
 
Well they seem a lot brighter any other time. I.e: coming home function ect..
i did turn on the lap timer but it turned the words a different colour which i didnt like haha!
 
Is the mirror dip only on cars with comfort pack ie electric seats and folding mirrors or can it be done on any model as I have the sline executive model but it doesn't have the electric seats?

Ok that's great as that is the main one I wanted but was told I needed comfort pack ill give it a go thanks
 
Hi guys just got my lead from NHN ( super fast delivery by the way) I'm struggling with the hidden menu ? Im trying via 5f but it's not finding anything ?

Im im ideally trying to ad battery meter and alarm honk !


Any ideas ?

On the radio control unit, you have the option of the Audi A4 8K to activate the battery indicator for the radio Concert / Symphony.

The following coding is used:

  1. Select STG 56 (Radio)
  2. STG adjustment -> function 10
  3. Channel 39
  4. Increase value by +16

Do you mean for the auto headlights? Because I think mine come on way too early if so would also like this doing :)

yeah for auto headlights.
Point_audi says above that he has adjusted his. So there must be a way.

Where did you find the graphic interface when reversing? Thought I saw it once, but cannot find it for the life of me

yeah, adjusted in MMI but still come on very early. Thought there might be an adaption code change.
 
only the mmi setings for early late etc

in the B7 you can so i should think you can in the B8
 
Managed to get everything working I wanted, except mirror tilt when reversing. I don't have module 76, could this be why? I thought it was suppose to work on all?

Bit 4 and 2 set to 1

Just set bit 2 for the mirror tilt! :)
