Hi,

Thought I would introduce myself in this section of the forum, I used to have a B6 A4 and I fancied an upgrade. So I got a 2.0TDI Executive S-Line and I am really impressed such a car.

Here is a quick snap after all my cleaning on Saturday.

What do you think?

Thanks DrSasso, am a bit OCD with the cleaning!lol

Lovely colour mate, but I would say that, it's the same colour as mine. Not seen any other B8's "our" colour on the road, althought the eye sight isn't what it used to be, so welcome to the liquid blue B8 club, it now has two members so far,me & you.

hehe of yea I can imagine xD I remember when I first had my ford escort about 9 years ago (wow time flys...) I used to hoover and wash/clean it almost every weekend :D used to take such pride in the car :D even though the moment I set off it would get covered in dust thanks to my parents living in the middle of no where with a dirt track for access.. (which made me feel like a rally driver..... pop dem hand brake turns ;) )

would you mind also if I asked how much ya snapped it up for? can give ball park if ya rather not say ;)

Thanks mate I totally agree with you I love the colour, good colour choice for us both then! :) .. I am from across the water in Ireland mate, so I am a bit disappointed that I cannot get along to the different events! :( .. But I think AITP set for next year for me now! Do you have any pictures of your motor mate?

lol, I am sure that was fun driving over the dirt lane!:p .. Yea I know what you mean there, I was the exactly same with my wee 96 VW Polo!lol

Tbh mate I would rather not say, but it was certainly well worth the money! :)

oh god yea xD dirt track is fun :D still tweek the handbrake in the rio on it some times haha!

damn xD was thinking you might say that about the price :p makes me feel for those of us looking on a lower budget don't stand a chance xD

out of interest, what does the "executive" label bring to the car? :D not sure if I've heard of that over here, know in the states they have like premium and premium plus...

Awh well I had been saving up for changing and I needed some more cost effecitve for travelling to work. Any excuse I know! :p ..

In the actual Audi Brochure for that year they had it down as the S-Line Executive, now I believe they call it the Special Edition, I could be wrong. Off the top of my head mate it comes with the following, Front and Rear LED lights, hids, headlight washers, auto lights, rain sensor wipers, auto interior an exterior dimming mirrors, heated door mirrors, cruise control, Bluetooth, iPod connection, rear parking sensors, leather and alcantara interior, electric lumbar support, all round electric windows, gear changing indicator, lane changing indicator, multi-functional steering wheel 30mm lower s-line suspension and 18inch s-line alloys.

Thanks,

No pictures on forum yet mate, but there is one on p3 of a6-chris's AITP pictures, you can get a quick look there. Car needs a good clean, probably at the begining of next week as I'm going to BTCC on Sunday, so no point in doing it before then, my opinion anyway, cos of the mud (dirt track on the hill)ect at Knockhill. I'll post a few as soon as I get it cleaned. Have you any mods planned, I've done a few, just to make it a bit individual. :kissmyrings:

Cheers mate, you've got a great looking car there yourself. Re your wheels, black, black, black, would be my preference, I think it makes the car look mean! Gun metal is nice also, Personally I'd wait to they need refurb'd though, why shell out for something you don't need just now, as they look good, also, they way they are. Check out VCDS part of the forum and see if there is anyone on the map close to you who can advise you re whats available for your car, as the mods vary, also read up on some of the threads, it gives you ideas.

lol, that was the first Vag-Com mod I done John, its class everyone that gets into the car I wait before starting the car so to show him!

Sure no problem John, I looked around the net and got a list of ones to try. So I went for the following:

- Enabling Needle Sweep
- Passenger Mirror Tilt When Engaging Reverse
- Adjusting Length Of Time Before Automatic Main Dip Comes On
- Beep Alarm When Locking The Car
- Lap Timer
- Emergency Brake Flashing via Indicators
- Display Graphic Interface When Engaging Reverse For Parking Sensor
- Battery Meter Level Displayed In MMI Menu

Thats all I can think of at the moment John, hope that gives you some ideas!

Thanks mate, I love it now! .. Love you motor also, thats a great shine you have got! :) .. The VAG-Com mods are easy enough to do, Ross Tech provide good instructions on their website. Its handy if you can find someone close to you with the correct lead. I actually purchased mine myself as a few mates have Audi's so I would tend to scan their cars also.

I listed some Vag-Come mods above which might be of interest to you! :)

Looks like we all going to have our B8's modified to the max. :o.k:

Point_Audi, cheers for the idea's, quite sure I'll be looking into some of these, it'll also be helpful for other B8 owners who read this thread.

Black b8 13, at least you can blame the wife mate, mines doesn't drive, so the kerbing is down to me, but I blame her for us having to use the car if the wheels get kerb'd, our the famous "Supermarket Ding" on the door. HATE this soooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should get plenty of taker's mate, not just for the beer, :beerchug: members on here seem to be very helpful. Make sure though, you give them the beer after the mods, lol.
Let me know how you get on mate.

Im still undecided to buy as I haven't got a clue and bit of a computer Mong and will end up screwing me car up
Could you please pm the price if I decide to buy?

Put it this way, by there own admission, numerous clients have said they were computer illiterate & they have never come back with an issue using the system, so I doubt you will face problems, said without assuming your level of computer literacy :)

PM sent.

Sorry NHM, forgot to mention that you were a seller on forum! .. Its not the hardest piece of software to work mate and there are plenty of guides and help on the different forums!:)

I believe this modification is only possible so long as you have an Audi parking system! Can you access Section 76 (Park Assists)?

No section 76.

Tried this I found on another forum:

To display the parking graphic (outline of car and sensors/distance to object):
[10] Park/Steer Assist
16 Security access -> 71679
Do It
07 - Coding
Byte 0
bit 4 0->1

But that didn't work either

PDC module needs to support the option, aswell as the head unit system fitted.
