Hi.
The wife's just come back in my car and the dpf light was on. So went for a drive regen complete light went out all good.
Wife then takes car only to come back in 5 mins later emissions light is on?
car runs fine no issues. Help any ideas.

If its dpf regen related, then longer drive needed or vcds to force regen.
 
Just in case is there anyone near me with vcds that could possibly check.
 
I could have a look if you can come to me, the drive should be long enough to regen if not ill force one for you
 
Thanks. Just noticed that my car only revs to 3000rpm when not in gear is this normal?
 
sounds like limp mode. if you want to pop round now your welcome too, just take it steady.

all speculation untill you get the vcds scan done.
 
if you do come over make sure you have half a tank of fuel, ive never seen a regen use that much, but it does warn you to have it!!
 
should be fine just give me a call before you leave to make sure, but i have my car in the garage still, doubt im going far fast lol
 
Update. Got in car this morning and no warning lights came on. But after 30 mins dpf light came on again so went for a drive to coast and back 86 motorway miles light stayed on until arrived. 86 miles back home with no warning lights. Could it be cured?
