Oil level on the mmi

For some reason when trying to look at the oil level in my 2.0 tdi
the message i get is oil level is unavailable.

anyone know why it wont display

p.s i have switched ignition on as it tells you too

Parked on a hill? Give it a few days and check it again while driving, mine does this too

Did you open the bonnet prior ?
Bonnet catch/switch is linked to the electronic oil level sensor and takes a bit of time/driving before it shows a reading
again, for some reason known only to Audi.

Thanks i did actually have it open prior to get a reading, got a 20 miles ride later so here hoping your right
