08 windscreen replacement

Hi guys

Ive just had a new windscreen put in as i had a crack. It all seems fine but i've noticed there is about a 5mm gap between the roof and the glass there is no rubber seal.

Could someone have a quick check of theres to see if this is the norm please? as i've not noticed that before.

Yes mate, mines got a 4 or 5 mm gap, its normal. A tip I was given though, in the absence of a rubber strip, that teeny lip of the front of the roof can get stone chipped and rust and you'd not notice it so keep an eye out. My Black A4 had a couple that needed tending to.

Thanks mate, i managed to pop down my local dealer and had a look sunday. Puts my mind at rest. The auto glass man told me about the chips too, do audi do touch up pens or anything?

Yes mate, about £20 iirc.
