Steering buttons help!

Hi

I have replaced the steering angle sensor and installed the cruise control in my car.
the coding and calibration it's done, but i can't get the buttons on the steering to work!
do they need to be coded too? or did i miss something?
I'll appreciate any help.

Yes, you should code the steering wheel control unit to say it has MFSW buttons. Did you have working buttons before hand?

Have you forgotten to plug the lead in or trapped it?

I'm sure they are well connected as they light up, they didn't light up or work before.
it's just the buttons not working.
I would like to get this sorted as i have a 1200ml trip in a few weeks.
