Guys,

Quick Q, done a search and cant find anything.

When the washer fluid gets low in the reservoir and the "refill" light comes on, there is still water coming out of the windscreen jets but the xenon wash will not fire, fill the washer bottle up and they fire again.

So question is... is that by design?

:)

I would assume so... Being able to see out the windscreen is probably more important than having clean headlights if u only have a limited amount of wash left... ;)

Yes thats normal, not enough pressure there to push the caps up as its pressure based mate, just fill up & few uses will restore functions :)

Possibly in vcds (8P does) you can code the washers not to be used so often as the windscreen does, to conserve water & tbh they dont need washing everytime you do screen with lights on, also you can set the time beore they will activate, so if its a quick spirt of water on screen then it wont activate headlight washers aswell.

Standard setting should be headlights wash on 8th windscreen wash I believe.

Default is every 5th windscreen wash. Headlamp wash will also occur if wiper stalk is held in windscreen wash position (with lights on) for longer than 2 seconds.
