3.0 TDI diesel pump question???

Hi does anyone know if the diesel pump on the 3.0 TDI engine has to be timed up or is it just a case of replace the belt and the ecu does the rest????

I believe its just a replace as these are common rail with electric injectors.

I'm looking to fit 1 on my 2.7. The 3ltr runs at lower pressure with same delivery.
