Hi,

My A4 SE Exec has been into the dealers twice since i bought it (July 2011).
Both times i got an A1 as courtesy car.

Any of you ever got something better/more inline with an A4?
I just find them giving me an A1 bit lame, esp as both times the car has been in for warranty problems, would expect atleast an A3.

Its due in again in 3 weeks for an oil change service and MOT... Lets see what they give me this time!

btw: its always gone back to where i bought it from... West London Audi!

I thought Audi's promiss was to supply like for like. When my water pump popped i got an A4 avant.

I've had an A5 sportback s-line in the past it was like a tank!!Also had A6.
TBH ive always said to the dealer if the car is only in for a day then ill either get a lift when i drop the car off or just give me whatever car they want, but if they want it longer which they have on 2 occassions then i need something at least the same size due to needing to get family in and pushchairs ect and they have agreed on the 2 occassions that the car has stayed longer than a day.

I've nearly always had equal or better when mine has been in except for once when I got an A3 Cab which was poor to say the least.

I've had a TT and a TT roadster the times mine has been in.

a4 avant 160tfsi last time and same again next week for mot/service etc for my a6 at teesside audi.

So looks like im the only one who gets fobbed off with an A1 lol.
(both times it has been in so far, it has been in for 3days and 7days respectively, which I was informed of from the start.)

Guess I will just have to ask for something more on a like 4 like basis next time :)

Mine was in all over Xmas because they bricked the Dab radio and I had a Q7. Had a Q7 on long term when they tried in vein to fix the Open Sky on my S3.

Dropped my car off this morning as arranged and you wanna see the lovely spanking brand new car they gave me.

Jet black A5 Black Edition with every conceivable extra you can think of with 30 miles on the clock........not bad.
Very comfy to drive but front end very skittish about 65-70mph.

How do you find Teesside Audi?

so so... not the best not the worst...
the parts and servicing side was great but last visit to book mot etc was a little harsh.
will let you know next week as to any more but i know in the next month or so when i decide which newer audi i want i will prob not get from teessides sales team.

I will NEVER buy a car from them again i have had nothing but hassle with them once im out of warranty and my free servicing is up with them this year i will be going back to our local indy specialist in Boro.
They cant even follow simple instructions when told NOT to wash the car!
I know at least 5 other people who have had bad experiences with them they are just incompetent

I cant say been bad but not outstandingly good either.
Do you use lawsons or the one on riverside park way... (specialist that is)

I have only ever used Teesside Audi when my used Approved Cars (I have had three in the last fifteen years) have been back under the terms of the Audi Warranty.
I recently used them to fit a new balance shaft /oil pump balance shaft assy on my B7 and they were just fine .That said on all my other jobs they have not been good, poor quality of repair ( e.g mis aligned front bumper ) and generally very expensive at £99/hr.
That said I have for the last fifteen years been relatively happy with Volkswerk in the Boro (and they aren't perfect but at less than half the labour rate I can tolerate the odd **** up).

I have not used Volkswerk but previously i had a A4 B6 and a number of years ago had a Seat Ibiza Cupra and with both of these used Turnbulls next door and have nothing but praise for them i know a few people who use them as well and ill be returning to them once out of warranty.

No i found Lawsons to be quite expensive.
I use Turnbulls Snowdon Road behind train station.Car still in warranty until November so shatside Audi it is until then!

Car was in yesterday for a service and the loan car was a A4 Avant DYNAMIK with 100 miles on the clock, well impressed.

A4 Avant S Line Aruba Blue

Wow!
went in today as planned, and for the first time got asked which car I would like, had a choice of: A1, A3, A4, A5 or Q5!
Went with the A5 Cabrio, BlackEdition.

Am actually tempted to now trade in my A4 for the A5!

sid812 Looks like your Dealer reads Audi-Sport ?? . I always tend to get one model up on what I have, I am sure they know how easy I am led to buy a new car haha.

I had my a4 sline avant in for a new clutch and flywheel under warrenty at sheffield audi and they gave me a brand new a5 tfsi 160 very nice!

Not sure about Audi but..
When I had my Touareg for a service in Rotherham I got a 1.2 POLO !!!!

KJN... I think you are right, they must read this!

They had my car from tuesday, and was due back to me Wednesday as they needed to run a few test on a few issues I was having.
Phoned me Wednesday around 3pm and said they need another day with it, I agreed.
Called me again on Thursday and said my car was ready to be collected, I was cheeky enough to ask if i could keep the A5 for the weekend, he checked to see it was booked for anyone else, it wasnt, so said I could return it anytime on Monday!

That's great news. As my Audi warranty expires in two weeks though it was a good idea to have the dealers check out a rattle (coming from rear nearside) so checked it in on Tuesday morning, and was given a A6 Avant S Line Quattro Auto (new shape) WOW what a motor absolutely love it, in no rush to pick mine up but was told today that the A6 is due out tomorrow so its going back in the morning.I have to say East Kent Audi have been fantastic with regard to their after service and the loan cars. The best I have had was a Q7 last year when mine went in for a service. They sure know howto tease us for sure.
