Just wondered what product people used to clean interior dash/plastics. Don't like the high gloss aerosol sprays and what works well on 1
car interior isn't always good on another.

Also, got a water drip mark on rear plastic bumper, guessing polish may get it off?

Going to wax A4 if it's dry this weekend, want an easy to apply one but not too expensive if a good one can be recommended.

I use Armorall interior wipes from Halfords, you can get matt or gloss finish.

Then when its clean, Ive got a soft brush attachment for my hoover and I just hoover it when it gets dusty.

A water drip should rub off with your finger?

My best wax reccomendation is Collinite 476S. I only apply it twice a year, it lasts ages, and also doesnt cost alot. Google it and read the reviews, for the price, you cant beat it.

I just use warm water and a microfiber cloth, hate that shiny sticky greased appearance you get with the sprays and other stuff.

Water drip seems to have stained plastic of rear bumper, only noticeable when washing but like a thin streak where paint has faded.

Weird as rest of car paintwork is really good with very few stone chips.

Try poorboys natural look dressing good looking finish on plastic inlays and dash and can be used on leather too oh and smells awesome.
If you want a cheap easy to use wax try collinite 845 very easy to use and will last for a good 6months with correct maintenance

The process that I use to clean the interior is to first use an APC (All Purpose Cleaner) in conjunction with a microfibre and a small detailing brush to get in all the nooks and crannies. Be careful around the clocks, etc and you don't want it to be too wet.

With a clean microfibre wipe the area dry.

For a clean, new non glossy (which tbh is dangerous inside anyway as it will reflect too much on the windscreen) I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. It comes in a spray bottle, however you can spray on the microfibre and then wipe on the area required. It also actually has many uses such as a protectant for rubber trims, interior and exterior plastics, engine bay, tyres and inner arches. You can also dilute down as an APC but personally it's too expensive to be used for that.

Alternatives are Chemical Guys Natural Look New Shine Dressing which is basically the same as the poor boys one already mentioned.

For the water drip or water mark this will need to be removed with a product that has some light abrasive content such as Dodo Juice Lime Prime.....

For for waxes yes the Collinite range is good for durability however it's not necessarily the easiest to work with in respect of curing time and buffing off. If it's left to long it can be very hard work to buff and you most certainly end up with arms looking like popeye!

Something like Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax; Prima Banana Gloss (contains filling particles to for swirls) or Valet Pro Banana Wax and yes they are all yellow are very easy to apply, buff off and give great results. If you want something with more durability and are quite happy to top up one every couple of months then look at one of the Dodo Juice range. On silver I'd recommend Light Fantastic or even take a look at Chemical guys Black Light Radiant Finish in combination with Chemical Guys Hybrid V7 spray Sealant.

Thanks for all the info, a good spectrum of products there. Interesting that a general spray cleaner is used as I alsways thought the lemon jif geral cleaning wipes did a good job on my A3 and made it smell great!, this is company car so worrying about the plastics and reaction with chemicals not quite as important to me as the A4 interior!

best bit of advice i ever had was dont touch the instrument cluster clear plastic.it scratches if you breathe on it
