Thread: Fuel Cap Not Opening

Hi,

Was at the fuel station wanting to fill up... but the fuel cap on my 09 A4 B8 doesnt open when i push it.
Have tried pressing unlock/relock several times, nothing!

Went home and tried it and it opened, tried again this morning and its not opening.

I got the car from a Audi Dealer in July this year, would this be covered under warranty??
Is this a known issue?

As long as its under 3 years old it will be covered.

First i have heard of this, so dont worry to much. There is usually a manual release within the boot. Check your manual for more info.

I had similar with mine, firstly problems with opening then it would not lock. It was fixed under warranty.

I have it booked in with the deal next week for this and the AC smell issue I was having.
Hopefully they will sort them both out! (and I will get a nice courtesy car!)

it could be just a dodgey/faulty mechanism causing the fuel cap not to open
