Thread: Aux input

When plugging iPhone into aux input I can't change tracks or adjust volume using steering wheel control is this how it is or is it broken

You can't because it's not supposed to control anything.

Ok so what do I need then to be able to do this
I also have same car model as yourself but without sat nav.
Is there something I can buy to make it work

You'll need to get the Audi Music Interface/iPod connector retrofitted.

Not sure of exact price, but you're looking at around £200-300 to get it installed.
