Hi Guys,

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on whether tinted windows would look good on a red saloon S-line?

I would only get the rear windows done in factory tint.

Thanks

I have been quoted by a local company £100 for all of the rear windows. Is this about the going rate?

I would get the fronts done too, I've had the fronts done on 5 cars since 2004 with no issues at all, just get the weakest tint, which on top of the factory tint looks good but wont get you pulled by the law, looks even better at Dusk.

Without the front tinted down a shade it looks like two cars that have been cut and shut to me.....

I ran a X5 for 4 years with a light front tint no probs.

You might have to sign a disclaimer..........

i'm looking to do mine, black car though, only thing is getting the spare cash around christmas time! £100 is about right i've looked around and can get front and backs done for ~£130 so £100 sounds good.

Just had mine done on a phantom black car. Looks fantastic. Darkest legal tint possible. Can see fine looking out, cars behind can't see who's at the wheel. £85.00 for the rear window and rear qtr windows only. Could have had the sides done but had FF blinds in the doors so left them off. That way I can just drop them and let more light in during winter if I choose. He would have done all 5 windows for £140.

Will upload a few pics over the weekend if you wish?

There's a few posts on US forums about tinters blowing up the B&O amps due to the water used in fitting so be careful.

How long do tints last.. Ie do they ever peel etc?

Which company you using? If your in MK my mate does tinting. L&m window tinting. They're in Lutterworth.

Hi

Got them done on Saturday by a company called Specialist Car Tint in Dunstable.

Really pleased with them, here are some pics below:

looks nice :) but it is just a film on the inside window which can be scratched easily and ruin the tint,
