A4 2.7 coolant loss

Hi
purchased a 58 plate A4 se 2.7 with 36k miles
Have noticed that the coolant goes down
Been checking and took it back to the dealers (It as 1 year warranty from them)
They check it and pressure checked it
577 miles later gone from full to just below min
does the 2.7 have the water cooled ERG as the 3l
Has any body else had these problems

suffered the same problem with my 07 A4 2.0tdi 170....turbo has now gone before i even had time to book it in to be checked !!
 
I recently filled my coolant bottle after 29K miles. It also drinks oil!

it is the EGR which is leaking
good job i had 1 year warranty with it

its water cooled
i think it has small pipes in side which can develope leaks
 
I did quite a few short runs tonight dropping the boys at various places and I couldn't help but notice the smell of coolant.

if you can smell it, i would guess it an external leak so most likey loose / broken hose and evaporation off the hot engine
 
It would be appreciated. All the time you're losing fluid, someone out there on two wheels is more at risk.
 
Yep, I definately have a problem; so a trip to the garage is in order tomorrow or friday
 
I've had the coolant pump and belt replaced. Hopefully the problem has gone away.
