IPOD conection and Symphony 6 disc head unit

Hi,
I have a 58 plate A4 cab, It has a glove box Ipod dock. When I plug in an I phone 4 or nano g3 nothing happens, and I can't see an "i Pod" input button on the symphony head unit.

Any ideas?

It's going back to the dealer tomorrow for the No plate lights, v common I understand and a faulty speed control on the wipers stalk

I have AMI in the glove box and have my ipod touch plugged in but have also used nano in there,if you press the media button on the stereo it should play either SD card,Ipod or CD.Once you select media button then press the source button (top right button of the 4 on the stereo,if you look on the display it tells you which button does what on the stereo) this then allows you to select which option you want to play.

are you sure you have a B8 cab ?
i recon its a B7 cab

you would be correct it will be a B7,not sure if the stereo set up is the same??I would guess the unit will be the same as the B7 saloon and avant
