I have an A4 2010 plate and looking into having a tow bar fitted. From a cost point of view I am considering a fixed bar but wonder whether it would interfere with the parking sensors constantly when not towing and would the electrics turn off the sensors when towing a trailer?

im pretty sure when i fitted one to a 2010 model with a fixed ball it didnt interfear, but i did put the sockets below the bumper line
