What is it then doug, discs or pads or both?

EBC turbogroove/Dimple disks with redstuff pads

my contact was Rob Wilson - rob@partsforallcars.com

who unbeliveably did me all the above and next day UPS delivery for £330 !!!!
my highest quote was over £550 !

Would be interested to hear what you think of them compaired to the standard set-up. I am un-impressed with the standard set-up on my 140 Tdi and will require replacement fronts in the next month or so. Good price and thanks for the links..

Read your comments Dazmo, but really interested in Doug.P's comments as both running 140 Tdi Avants, so be a better comparison. How did you find the Redstuff pads, as I noticed you said they tended to eat disc's. Had thought of upgrading to 320mm discs at the front as mine look a little lost under my 19's.

^^^^^ ditto - disks look puny under my 19's also ^^^^^

Fitted all fine
just bedding in now - so i will let you all know what i think

just a quick note - i made a type'o on the rear disks, should read GD1202 not GD1203
GD1203 are for the 3.0 tdi not the 140
:)

ok - been fitted for a week and a bit, 300 miles done
here are my INITIAL thoughts over the standard setup.

the brakes have instant bite over OEM audi ones and there seems to be little fade in heavy breaking
the pedal feels firmer and you dont need as much preassure to stop the car
the disks are slightly and i mean slightly more noisy than OEM, but you only hear when the window is down
my diveway is more like the side of a mountain - i kid you not, the oem could not hold the car, the new ones could, so much so that on saturday it was 33 down my way - chatham, kent , that the car stayed still and my drive gave way !! the tarmac was ripped up a bit - will post pic later tonight !!!

all in all - not properly run in yet but i would say 20% better than oem and mine were 1/2 the price

pics on the car
look a bit lost under 19'S
