I have been running with the "ECO" button pressed to save fuel, however when i need the Aircon to work, the ECO button does not switch off, and therefore no aircon. Is this a common fault.
try switching the whole unit off first maybe,I have had mine a week and its a strange system,I normally leave mine off because there is a weird smell with it on.
1wheel is most likely right. The gas is used to lubricate the compressor, so when it's low in level the car will isolate it to prevent damage. It could be another fault in the system also, such as high pressure sensor.
