I was on the motorway on Sunday, sitting at 70mph in sixth and all of a sudden my dashboard resmebled a very tacky christmas tree! At one point or another all the warnign lights were flashing and the rev counter was all over the place! Then it cut out and I coasted to the hard shoulder!

Audi rescue called - RAC man turns up and tows me home!

The car has been in Audi and apparently it needs a new engine management system! 7-10 days delivery for the part and then needs to be programmed etc!

Anyone else had anything similiar? Car is only 3 months old!

I am now the not so proud driver of an Insignia!

Any comments greatly appreciated

Ian

Wow... I've got one of those too... no problems with mine yet touch wood

insignia....count yourself lucky

when my car was in for a door respray due to an errant wheelie bin i was given a diahorria brown nissan micra...

I had something similar on my B6 2.0 FSi - the engine management shut down the car to prevent damage... it did it a few times on the motorway... I think it may have been a faulty sensor or something - can't remember now.

Bit scary on the motorway as you lose the power assistance & you have to fight the steering to turn!
