black out grill

does anyone know the best option for blacking out the chrome on the front grill and window surrounds on the s line a4 b7 , i dont want to spray but have heard of the tape option , ie applying tape heating it up into position etc.

I would prefer to replace them with the 'black edition' grille, windows, reoof bars etc.

Anyone know if these can be purchased from dealers, and if so how much they cost?
 
I think your biggest problem is the window trims they cost a lot of money to replace. You can get the grill and roof bars from Audi. Another option is to tape up the chrome, check out the B6 section someone did it there recently.
 
Have a read of THIS thread - using a kind of tape to cover them up seems quite reasonable, something like HERE

I am going to try mine soon to I think.
 
A mate of mine has just blackedout all the chrome on his Mini Cooper S, he got some matt black tape from halfords. It was cheap but looks absolutely spot on.
