Some of you may have seen this Ben Williamson article and inspection in the interesting Technical View section of Audidriver a few months ago (Cam follower can wear excessively at surprisingly low mileages, possibly resulting in engine damage). As I intend keeping the very nice car for some years yet I was planning on in getting it inspected at my forthcoming 30000 mile inspection. However in discussion my local Audi Centre Technical Manager looked bemused and said he'd never heard of any such problems.
Has anyone followed the article recommendation and had the inspection carried out - approx cost and result please ? And if anyone with the technical interest and knowledge has any observation I am sure it would be useful to many.
