3.0 tdi bhp figures

I have currently been interested in changing my current car for a 3.0tdi quattro and have been confused with the different bhp figures! was there a change around 05/55 because some cars state 201bhp and some state 204bhp, is there one to stay away from or not?

Yes as far as i know there was a change and it says it here too http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/summary.aspx?model=1327, but i don't know when it happened.

I think it's a problem with the way figures are quoted.

The offical Audi figure would have been 204 PS which equates to slightly more than 201 BHP.

There was a change at some point to give the A4 the full power 233 PS version of the engine. Not sure when that happened but I'm sure it's easily found on the Parkers or Honest John sites

Hi

I too have been looking at these cars. The engine was 201 bhp when introduced with a higher powered engine of 233 bhp added later on. From looking through cars for sale on the audi website the more powerful engine only seems to appear on cars registered from Mar 07 onward.
