not posted here before just like reading and looking at all the cars.
Tonight my 06 A4 2.0tdi sline BROKE down. RAC recovered it to my house as the gearbox has collapsed (rac guys words). There was a loud whine following by what sounded like someone shaking a bag of spanners violently. Oil all over the road, which was confirmed as gearbox oil and towed home. Have check my warranty and it seems to cover the gearbox (its 2 years old on the 12th May). i hope that it is due to a service, brake pads and discs and 4 new tyres cost me over a grand in february. if anyone knows if the gearbox is covered or where the info is please let me know,,,just to put my mind at rest. Gonna have to phone my local dealer (stirling audi) on monday to see if i can get it repaired.........here's hoping,,,and everything is crossed.
