After seeing the price of the genuine Audi carbon trims, almost no change from a £1000! I decided there must be a cheaper way. Managed to call in a favour from a friend who works as a military aircraft fabricator.

These are the results, what do you reckon?

Also picked up a new gear knob and hanbrake lever grip in 'air' leather to match the steering wheel.

They look a little shiny in the pic but thats just the camera flash.

Overall I'm well pleased, all for the bargain price of £60 for the gearknob and handbrake lever from Ebay.de.

Yeah he's done me proud. Did owe me a big favour though! It took him about three weeks to complete them as he can only work and use the machinery at work during lunch-breaks and saturday mornings etc.

The weave looks very even and deep, thats the benefit of military grade carbon I guess:icon_thumright:
