Its basically a modern term for engine tuning, your vehicles ECU is uploaded with a new program that increases fueling and boost therefore increasing power/bhp produced. Log onto wwwsuperchips.com for more info or any of their major competitors for example Revo.

remaps make the biggest difference on turbo cars. The new mk2 tt with its 2l fsi engine you can usually see up to 50bhp more from it. You will DEFINATELY notice the remap ! the car will pull harder, rev quicker, and generally be more responsive. My S4 went from 265bhp to 315bhp as this has 2 turbos !

naturally aspirated cars you can usually see around 15bhp more, but wont be as noticable.

Do it, you wont be disappointed

diesel respond differently than petrol engines. With diesels its all about torque. Thats the low down grunt. you'll probably see a good 60lbs/ft of torque and 30bhp.

It will make a big difference to a Diesel and is very noticeable. Damian at DPM did mine and instantly the throttle is so much more responsive. I have found the biggest difference to be the fact it revs better. It picks up quicker and doesn't run out of steam until its past the red line.

And now that I'm finally calming down, I'm seeing improved fuel economy too.
