Ipod Interface without any info !!!

hey i've just added the ipod connection to my A4 2007 and it works fine but
i don't have any information about the songs, Artists, Albums or anything neither on the concert display nor on the DIS display.

so i just wanted to check if this is normal or not??

i had it at the Audi official distributer in my area. and it cost me about 220 $ which is pretty expensive so can anyone here help me!!!

Yes this is normal, the Audi HU's cannot display tracknames ,just the track number.

but you should be able to control the ipod from the radio controls

How is it that the new HU's (I have the concert III) can display all the info from a MP3 disc inc album, artist, song title etc but can do the same from an iopd?

Because they still use the crappy old CD interface that doesnt support CD text
