Question When it rains the windows steam up

If my car is outside when it rains all the windows steam up. Anyone else got the same problem?

Oh aye and what you been doing inside (Titanic style!)!

It's possibly the Air con, If you use the Air con to demist the window and then turn the Air con off, it will normally steam up-only way around is to keep the Air con on low, or make sure the Air con is not turned on at all for a few days prior to it raining-It's my Pet hate with Air conditioning in cars!

Only other problem could be the Heater matrix on it's way out.

I should have made it clear, this only happens when the car is parked up, engine off, keys out, etc, etc. When i'm driving it's fine.

It's unavoidable I reckon. We live in a very moist climate, and it's been very humid lately. The humid air gets trapped in the car, and then the rain cools the glass and the moist air condenses on the windows. Either that, or you have a water leak into the car. Check all the mats for soggyness, and if all seems dry, put it down to humid air.

Hmm, I agree with the science lesson, it's just that my B5 never had the problem, neither does my wife's B6.

My A3 does the same thing and the demister (even with aircon on) is feeble. Can also happen if you put damp stuff in the car - if you get rained on and then dry off in the car all that moisture gets trapped inside....

It might be due to your much maligned Solar roof? Certainly doesn't affect me in my non-solar roofed B7.

I suspect so too. It's just pumping moist air into the cabin
