Hi all, new to these forums.
I have a 56 plate 2.0TDI 170 that has developed a shudder in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear when it gets to around 3000 revs.
It doesn't do it all the time (about 60-70%) and the shudder isn't worrying me too much; the car isn't in any immediate danger of death (at least it doesn't feel like it). I haven't taken it beyond about 3200 revs to see if if gets worse or goes away.
A friend in the trade who I've described it to but hasn't actually set eyes on it says it could be the clutch, but I wanted to see if it could be anything else on here. I've had a look through the forum and the only thing I've seen that has similar-ish symptoms is a dirty EGR valve, but I might be a ways off with that assessment as I'm not particularly technically minded.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
