3k above fluttery acceleration

I have an issue car pulls nice upto 3k revs then seems to be sort of held back , pulls a bit then holds back a bit ...
Any ideas? i was thinking maybe dirty intake and egr ??/

Could be a fuel filter problem, when was it last changed. Had a similar fault with my old A4 BRE engine.

About 6months ago when I accidentally filled up with petrol.
