Number plate light screws

Soft as cheese aren't they, I did the same as you I bet, rounded out the Phillips head, I drilled the head off after putting plenty of masking tape over any paintwork to stop the drill chuck from doing any damage, then once the light casing was out all attempts to get the rest of the screw out failed so I drilled and countersunk a hole close to the old hole and simply used a self tapping screw, job done.

I did something similar, hex head with the correct thread, purchased a bag of 10 made from S/Steel from eBay.

Yes hex head is the way to go, never want to go though doing my ones again.!!!!!!
