Diesel pump swap will i need to get coded once fitted???

hi guys i am about swap diesel pump in 2.5 tdi v6

the pump is exact same code as mine and same bdg engine code


i am getting differing views as to wether i will need to get new pump coded once installed


this is a like for like swap, same code and engine will i need to get coded???

I believe all the 2.5TDI's requires the new pump to be coded.

a new pump does need codeing

but wont the second hand pump hes got have the same codeing already ?

thanks guys i was under the impression if secondhand unit was from same engine it wouldnt need coded as it would already have it lol
