Hello and Happy New Year!
Just wanted to post this old link for all you 2.0t owners. I stumbled across this issue last Summer and had mine replaced as a precaution after my re map. Fortunately mine was in good nick. Just wanted to make sure you were all aware of this if you were not aware of this serviceable issue, and apologies for anyone who already did know. This thread is a bit of a shocker actually! Think the part costs no more than 30 of your British quids....and a lot cheaper than a new cam!
