Ok this has probably been covered a thousand times but I'm too lazy to search, what oil? is Magnatec 5w 30 fully synthetic ok for my 170 diesel? Don't really want to go down the long life oil route I'd rather change it every 6k or so, I've always used Magnatec in the past both in my BM 320d and Lexus is200 with no issues, cheers,
 
Personally I use Audi own brand stuff as it's very good quality oil, if your car has a dpf make sure you use the correct dpf engine specific stuff
 
I use quantum oil which tps sell. Its aparantly castrol in a different bottle but i take that with a pinch of salt. Im sure u can pick up a 5 litre bottle of fleabay for £30
 
Cheers going to see if magnatec is dpf comparable then stick some in.
 
Send a PM to Oilman on here, he is the expert in all things lubrication related.
 
If your car is fitted with a dpf, it must be spec 507 oil.
