4300 as 6k has allot less light on the road, colour may look nice but I tried & couldn't see sweet fa at night tbh, put oem 4300 in & bang see the world lol.
Dont put 6000k in as nhn said less light on the road thats a definite fact
because ive tried 6000k and now ive got 8000k in mine, 6000k makes your xenons look cheap and tacky
its got that cheap blue hint to it that makes it look like them 20 pound bulbs you can get. It depends what your after? Bright or different colour

Neither, go for Osram 5000k bulbs. I had 4300k bulbs on my bi-xenons, was happy with the light output but wanted something a bit bluer similar to the xenons you find on the new range rovers. Went for the 5000k osram cool blue's (not blue at all), more a cystal white and with even more light output than the stock 4300k bulbs.

I'm fully aware of the light outputs etc. But I bought a pair of 8000k from Trups as they look quite nice with the colour of my car (IMO). Dipped beams aren't great at night and you might as well turn them off when it's dark and raining LOL but the full beams are perfectly fine I think. One of them has given up recently so put the standard Philips 4300k back in for now and although they're yellow looking, I can actually see the light output difference on the road haha! If you want performance I'd go with 4300k-5000k, compromise would be 6000k and 8000k would be purely for cosmetic appearance although they do still work as headlights (sort of).

I had 6000k in my golf (came in the lights I had) worst damn things ever at night... swapped them for 4300k the next day and was amazing. Then I didn't like the slight 'yellow' so I went to 5000k and they are brilliant at night and work a treat.
I opted for 5000k when I recently did my Bi-Xenon retrofit (check my build thread) here's the lights and output... it is very clear, and brilliant at night. but as said i wouldn't go any more than 5000k (pure white).

Weird when I put mine in it came as D2S for some reason. Unless I'm selecting something wrong
cheapest for Osram 5000k D1S is amazon germany @ 75 euros for each bulb...if the bulb is faulty you just send it back Amazon UK for replacement:
