A4 Avant - Nozzle Jet Adjustment - Any tips?

Hi all

The nozzle on my 06 A4 avant was blocked, so I duly pulled off the nozzle and cleaned it.

It now squirts but no matter which way I point it, it seems to hit the inside of that plastic cover.

The nozzle I have is the single jet (like this picture I found) http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/9536/gedc0992z.jpg but with the two hole washer jet cover.

Also when the wiper is moving (with the little black cover off), the nozzle doesnt move with the wiper arm. Is this correct? So if pointing up, it stays pointing up all the time.

Any tips for putting it in the right place?

Use a pin and move test move test until happy that's what I did.

I could well be wrong, but I dont think thats the correct jet - certainly the one on my B6 is twin jets and a different design. And it moves with the spindle.

If it helps, I had to replace the rear wiper arm today - the jet locates in a u shaped bracket which is what stops it turning.





Then the cover (with the two holes aligned to the jets) goes over the top. Hope this helps - Mike.
