Turbo problems

Hey guys, as the title says I'm having turbo problems, I think its the veins so i'm doing the Mr muscle trick while I write this. but 1 thing i noticed, there is a slight bit of play in the shaft of the turbo, how much play would be a worrying amount? The actuator arm was rock solid and during the cleaning its starting to free as the tutorials describe but the play in the shaft has me worried even though is it very slight.

Umm... hard to judge, i can#t see it but maybe about 1-2mm? I could be completely wrong

1-2 mm is a heck of a lot of play..
