Is there a guide on what mats fit what year car?
I have a 2007 a4 s line and want to know what range(year) can i look for when buying some.

Not 100% sure, but i think B6 and B7 mat sizes are the same. I bought these carpet mats (prestige range) for my 2005 B7 and very happy with them...feels like you're sitting in a Rolls Royce Phantom LOL

hi I bought these from ebay and despite they state its for an avant they fit saloon too.they spot on. and if the price doesn't suit you they have cheaper blank ones , as these have the S-line logo on.
Nice OEM fit with thew locating clips.

oh and yes B6,B7 mats are the same- not sure in the case of cabrios

so if bought mats that came from a 56 plate car for my 07 they would fit?

B6 B7 fit each other
so if your have a B7 then yes they will fit.
