Revs itself

Hi,

Pulled up to park tonight from work and the engine is revving itself, from normal to about 1500 rpm and then back down. Drives ok, well no different than normal. Done a bit a reading and am I reading right that it could be the PCV Valve. Also read about the DV Valve. Anyone point me in the right direction? Also is she ok to drive as I need to get to work?

what they refer to "hunting" is usually down to the pcv

does the clutch switch need replacing ? im sure its a common fault on the b7 2.0 tfsi, a friend had theirs replaced not so long ago because of reving on its own. im sure its not an expensive part to replace :0)
