Probably thinking the title's the wrong way 'round but nope, wondering if halogen's can be ran off an xenon loom... maybe by removing wires or something (hopefully something simple or no mod at all).

Reason I ask is there's a b7 front going on my b6 and can only find adapters to convert to xenon's but have DRL b7 (b8 look) Jap import headlights which supposedly don't support xenon... which asks another question of wether these Jap aftermarket lights can support xenon bulbs without melting or ruining the housing.

Either way xenon's would be more effort and as mentioned there's plenty going into the car without this haha.

Any help is appreciated.

i ran 8K's in mine never melted them

These rumours that HID bulbs melt headlamp housing are false, if mounted correctly the HID bulb will be fine.

Cheers, guessing they say not suitable to cover there backs encase anyone does actually melt them. Would still rather have halogens if possible just to be on the safe and lazy side haha.
