    B7 Cab with 19" Alloys

    Guys, am looking for some help and info if possible.
    Any cab owners with 19" alloys?
    can you let me know your wheel width, offset and tyre size please?
    I've just booth some 8.5, 19" with 43 offset and 255/35 tyres.
    But they touch the suspension bar at the top part of the arch when I lower the car down!


    Audi say this size should be ok!

    not a cab owner ,but I think its touching (if that's the case) because of the width of the tyre.
    255 is too much 19 tyres normally go by 235.

    19" 8-1/2 235 35 19
    45 with 15mm spacers front 10mm back
    no rubbing

    19x8.5 all round 235/35's all round et45 with 5mm spacers

    Gents, I am running 19's on my S4 cab. They were et60 before I put 25mm spacer/adapters due to the pcd being 5x130, wearing 235/35/19 rubber. Has been lowered by approx 30mm using H&R springs, with no probs at all. Prior to these wheels, I was running speedlines with same suspension set up with no probs. I believe the exact offset to make the wheel sit flush with the arch is 35, am sure some one will be along soon and put me right, if that's wrong. Hope that helps.

    28 offset with a 235 35 is perfect with no rub

    So it seems like the 255's are just too wide. Great....NOT!

    I've got 19" 8.5j, 235/35/19 tyres, ET45 with 12mm spacers so ET33. No rubbing at all.

    I would have to guess it's the tyres too...

    Thanks guys.
    Really I've got three options.
    Change the tyres to 235's and try and sell my old ones.
    Buy 10mm spacers and hope it doesn't push the wheels out too far.
    Sell them and buy a different set.

    Dont forget its not just the width - 255/35 have a taller sidewall than 235/35 - overall, on 18" rims, you are looking at 635mm total diameter on 255/35 vs. 621mm on 235/35, so an extra ~1.5 cm of diameter on the wheels.

    Well I finally made the decision to add 5mm spaces on the front for now. And I'll replace the tyres will 235's down the line.
    Pretty happy with the look of the car now though!
