Hi

I have this annoying intermittant sort of bearing noise, it happens both when still and you rev and then the the revs drop and then when chnaging gear.

Its very hard to pick it out when still as it only last a split second or two, then when driving it appears intermitant.

It appears to come from the left side of the engine bay, turbo sort of area.

Any ideas before i take it to the specialists??

Car seems to drive ok, there is no loss of performance that i have noticed

Hej,

What engine do you have. Petrol or Diesel. If it's petrol what petrol are you using 95 or 98.

Cheers

Maybe a clutch release bearing. Start the car up and press the clutch, does it stop? If so, its the release bearing. If it makes no difference at least its one thing you can eliminate.

No i have had the clutch release bearing checked and apparently not that!
