I know there's a thread for tinted tail lights but has anyone experimented with lamin x or paint and tried covering just parts of Thier OEM lights as a cheap mod ? Can only find 1 pic on google where half the light is covered dark but its on a red car, think it would be alot better on a darker car

Thanks for the pic man, but I'm after lights that have only been half covered or say the full light tinted apart from indicators or half dark smoke half light smoke, cant find any pics of examples like that, thought many people would of tried it, maybe they have and it looks crap? Who knows .... Not me !

here's a few pics of the tail lights on my previous car: painted with a few light coats of black no problems with it on MOT,no problems with the police either as all the light were clearly visible when switched on. not an a4 but you can see a result/outcome hope this helps a bit

Hej, funny you should post this right now....am wrapping my tailights on my Avant using Oracel 8300 light smoke 5 x a4' sizepcs ( 20 quid ).Will have them done and on the car on Friday. Never wrapped tailights before and am ****** strugglin....but think I will get away with it. I will post some pics up over the next day or so.
Can I just add that I made it very difficult for my self by not doing my homework first! Doh!!...The secret of doing this right? Make sure you have the both surfaces of the vinyl and the thing you are applying it to, lubed with glass polish or water sprayed ( not silicon nano tehcnology mince! ) before you apply it.....it goes on so easy afterwards....please learn from my mistake!

Cheers
A
