Hi all,
My A4 2005 saloon 2.5tdi 115,000m will not start.
First signs were, coil light flashing. All brake lights worked fine had a fault code of 00741.
Then 5 days later i noticed power down, i tried accelerating real hard and the ESP started flashing and it started to sound real poor then came on solid. Would not accelerate very well, smoking and being an Auto when i was parked up it felt like it was knocking.
Got home and read fault codes, i only have a generic reader..
01318- I have had this since i bought the car.

I cleared the codes, had to go away for the weekend and now it will not start, any ideas?
I will get it towed to a mechanic but I would like some advice to pass on.
