Iv heard stories of engine management codes leading to silly little things and never believed them... until i seen it with my own eyes.
Last night i was out and about and about 9 mile from home the Engine management light came on.
I parked for a little while and checked the oil, all seemed fine.
I limped the car home and parked out for the night (car drove the same as normal, no actual limp mode)
This morning i popped into a mates garage and got him to plug it in for me, to my shock the code came up as "central locking fault"
It still worked fine...
So im thinking... this is basically just a scam by audi to make you pull into their garage, pay the £60 odd quid that they charge to diagnose and tell you that its something that you dont need to worry about.
Other stories iv heard are ABS sensors and Autowipers setting these off.
Anyone had anything like this?
