I'm well pleased with the B7 S-line SE with all add the options makes it a pleasure.

Had the car for 5 weeks now and only a few issue with the B7.

The dealership (honda) changed the oil coolant unit (not sure on the correct term) and flushed out the system 3 times before picking the car up after that and i'm still getting surplus oil in my coolant header tank took it back and flushed out the system and now still have the surplus oil in my coolant header tank.

Yesterday driving to work the Min. oil light flashed up....! but after checking on the oil level this morning the level is at Max..!

I'm a little confused could this be linked with the first issue or something much bigger???

I never had a oil problem with my Type R and thats a high reving engine! Any idea or guidance would be welcomed.

Hi, welcome to audi-sport.net. Someone will be along to advise you shortly. Enjoy the forum. :) x

Sounds like loss of oil pressure, head gasket?? What engine is it? 2.0t fsi?

It was amber mate. Like i said before don't know if the two issues are linked, but the oil levels are at Max...

Maybe just a faulty oil level sensor, amber is just oil level as far as I'm aware. The red one is a case of stop no matter what. That's the case on the 2.0t fsi anyway. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the diesel can help. Hope you sort it mate :)

Cheers thanks for that. I might get it in at a VAG specialist for a look over.

Welcome to the forum mate. Looks like you've turned to the dark side of diesels as I did last year too haha. As mentioned above, yellow oil light is for oil level. I'd get diagnostic codes scanned to see if anything pops up, might be a faulty oil level sensor. Not difficult to replace but just means you have to replace your oil so I'd personally wait till the next oil service to get it done (if it is that which is the problem).

Haha pretty much the exact same move I made.... 55 plate premier edition CTR to a B7 diesel avant :)

Congratulations on your swap, that 170 engine is notorious for injector problems. We had a similar problem with oil in the header tank of our 170 Touran, went into VW and they did the infectors as a recal, ended up having a new engine and turbo with VW fitting the bill. Lost faith in the car and went into an A4. I hope I haven't scared you, but after our experience with that engine, I would stay clear of the 170.

as said above it can be the oil level sensor, clogged oil pick up pipe-resulting in loss of oil pressure,or oil pump issues.get it checked scan for fault codes asap. if u leave it like that sooner or later u might get a serious issue, spending lots of cash on fixing/new engine in worst case.
