    Cars Remapped by Angel Tuning

Sammi and I had both the B7 Special Edition 2.0tfsi and our B6 V8 S4 remapped today by Angel Tuning. they came to us at home armed with laptops, diagnostic equipment and tools and spent the lion share of the day tinkering with both cars. first they road tested both cars so they could make sure they drove ok and to set a benchmark from where to start from. This followed a discussion with me about how I wanted the map to work, aggressive progressive etc etc. I wanted a progressive map on both cars so work started from there. the B7 was pretty straight forward the car ecu was read and uploaded onto the programme they use and once tht was done a diagnostic check was carried out. Once the correct map was selected it was wired back to the car.

The S4 was a little more involved as the ecu was removed from the car separated and then connected to the laptop and had the programme uploaded. Once both cars were done we carried out another road test and fine adjustments were made to the map. Once I was happy job done and I paid them.

OMG What an astonishing difference to both cars. The S4 has become something of a savage beast, the responsiveness has increased 10 fold and the pace the car now has is unbelievable for what already is a very fast car.

The B7 is much the same story the turbo comes in sooner with more boost and the car pulls hard to the redline in all gears, the car has been improving with the modifications I have made since purchasing the car mainly down to the forge diverter I put in but tht now only complements this awesome map...

as you can guess we are both really happy and would recommend angel tuning. I'm sure the fuel consumption would be better too but will report that once the child in me has vacated and I'm back to seeing how many miles I can squeeze out of a tank.

As above, I'm unfortunate to have only been able to have driven the s4 today since the re map as I'm still recovering from 2 operations due to work and a car mopping injury and can only use the auto car at the moment. wow the s4 is awesome I really can't believe how much difference it has Made. The car no longer feels sluggish, it feels like the gear changes are at the right time now and I guess that's because it gets there quicker. just to give you an idea drive mode now feels like sport and sport just made me smile so much I'm still smiling!!! I'm sure that the mpg would go up now but it's so awesome to drive I think I'm going to struggle to drive it to achive good fuel economy ! I can't wait to drive your car next ;-)

I think i saw first-hand the improved performance of your remap on Weds afternoon this week when you pulled out of a petrol station on the A31 (M&S i think?) after me, and then floored it past me lol! I couldnt catch you, and you pulled a couple of car lengths on me!!

In my man-defence i had about 130Kg's of obese work colleague and his luggage in the boot as ballast.. i wanted to push him out on the dual carriageway haha

Time i got a remap too me'thinks!!! (can you pm me the details fo the angel map? ta)

    Chris,

I have been thinking about remapping my S4 but was never convinced a non-turbo car can benefit that much from the work. Is it really as good as you say?

Audi S4 quattro in Dolphin Grey Metallic, Silver leather, carbon inlays, RNS-E, 6 speed manual, electrically adjustable & heated seats, xenon headlights with power wash, cruise control, storage pack, 18" OEM RS4 wheels, RS4 ARB, LED lighting upgrade, FASH plus every bill since new.

Cheers Chris - I will give Andy @ Angel a call for a chat.. i see they are in Banbury too like MRC; and at £275 (from their website) the price looks very appealing.. i need to decide if the extra 200 odd quid is worth it just to have the dyno printout - hhmmm

    cheers,

haha finally i actually spotted a fellow member on the road - altho the SAM plate helped!!

i was in half a mind to go chat to the bloke filling up his B8 S4 Avant, the phantom black with tints and red leather looked awesome... but i was in a rush.

    my first S4 mini-meet

have to say i love my milltek.. they arent cheap, but the build-quality and sound is superb. I had a full system on my old Mk4 R32 Golf inc manifolds, and hi-flo cats, and I have been sold from then on. so all i can say is...

I sent Angel Tuning an email a week ago regarding some mods I'd like and have not had any response as yet - Bit disappointed with their lack of communication...

The Guy from angel tuning told us that they are having major I.t issues at the moment so may be worth giving them a call

hard to say chris.. you do feel an improved throttle response, and you get a bit more V8 induction roar (nothing chavvy tho).

to be honest its the first mod i've done to all my cars for the last 15 or so yrs... £50 and 5/10 mins work, very easy and satisfying mod.. just like the cupra r splitter.

    BMC / Panel Air Filters / AUDI S4 4.2 Quattro (344bhp) From Years: 01 > 07 / Euro Performance Car Parts

the way i look at it is that it will save you money (unlike anything else on the car!!), £50 now, and it will only ever need cleaning and re-oiling once a year, instead of buying a new audi paper filter every year @ 20 odd quid when serviced
