Headlights dimming on startup

Hi guys,

Noticed lately that when I start my car for the first 1-2 minutes the headlights go dim and then back to full brightness again. Its quite hard to see sometimes but it is accompanied with a gentle clicking noise from the dash?


Its a 2006 2.0tdi cabriolet S-line

Could be the headlight control unit under the steering column, need to go on VCDS first to check voltage to see if it is at fault.
 
have you measured your battery?i had the same problem but it mainly happened when i had my heater on and the lights on at the same time.changed the battery and all good
