Hi,

Both seats have electric lumbar switches and neither of them work.

Any ideas where to start looking to fix this ?

Thanks

2007 A4 tdi 1700

fuse
or was the seats swapped at some time

+1 if both are dead, then I suspect common point would be fuse, unless they split feeds.

im sure they have a fuse for each
when i fitted the S4 seats i had to up to 20 and was 1 for each side.

No mention of these in the fuses list in the owners book.

I did hear that they were thermal fuses ???? but I wouldn't know where to start looking for those

behind the kick panels either size
im sure mine were 10 and i uped to 20

Thanks Bez, are the thermal fuses there, I've taken the side panel off the drivers side and they are all blade fuses, none of these are listed for the controls

its a 10 amp blade fuse red

I looked on elsa & for an existing electric seat car, it says for say an A4 avant 07, thermal fuse S45 for drivers which is a 30amp on a relay plate by central electrics behind dash panel & the passengers is S46 30amp down on the side panel passenger side also on a relay/fuse/connection plate.

Bez did you car have just electric lumbar before you fitted full electric?

yes i used a guide from audizine for the 2 fuse locations.

TBH if it was lumbar only before, you shouldn't really just up the fuse as the wiring wasn't installed to cater for the load of full electric seats, lumbar uses less current than say full electric, using multiple direction electrics at same time could end up frying the wiring, if the tolerance wasn't allowed for on the lumbar factory wiring.
