Hi all,

I am trying to get my parking sensors working again, and in the mean time I have removed the parking control module (part no. 8e0919283c) and wanted to know if anyone near by fancies letting me test my module on their car. I am not sure if its my parking sensors that are fubar (i know one defo is now as the car hit a block of wood on the motorway at 80mph that fell off a truck!) or the module. If i can plug the module in your car and see if the sensors post an error, then I need to replace the module. Failing that I may have to replace 1 or 5 parking sensors (4 rear, 1 front).

Thanks guys. If anyone knows of any other way of testing to see what the problem is then give me a shout (i have done a vagcom test).

VCDS will log the system, it will say this sensor is down etc usually, what did vcds say?

I would check the loom.

Also that's a fake counterfeit cable.

Thanks for that... think i might take the rear bumper off and do some continuity checks on the loom itself. Shouldnt be too difficult, as the main loom to the front will be fine, just the rear wires to and from the sensors.
