2.0tfsi timing chain/tensioner replacment

About this time last year i replaced the chain/tensioner on my engine because of the very common rattle of the tensioner failing. It's all been good until last week when i noticed the noise starting to come back
Has anyone else had issues this early after doing this job?
I used genuine parts btw...

it always comes back
on the last 1 i had done after 14k it was back

Is the failure of the tensioner not a symptom of a blocked oil pump pickup? I'd always assumed the two were interrelated.

no they dont really fail there just noisey
